Superman Returns!

Watched Superman in Sydney back then. It is a nice movie, you get exciting thrilling scenes, you get how Lois and Clark's interwinding love relationships, you get not-so-ugly-kind-of-amusing bad guy by Kevin Spacey, and you even get the retro introduction of the 70s. Lovely. The first half hour of the movie is kind of slow and boring just to tell people, now I come back, but other than that, it's quite jam packed with thrillers and love hate relationships dedicatedly mixed together. There are not much spectacular CG scenes, though.
The new Superman Brandon Routh does a good job, he's handsome, look really like Christopher Reeves, and he's 木獨 as well. Kevin Spacey is good as anything else, but I would think of his role is more of comedic than evil.
Yes, and Superman is also very humanish, just like Spiderman the movie, it's a really nice touch, but I don't know if super fans will like.
It's a very nice movie, although not as GOOD as Spiderman II (which I think is the best of the recent remakes of superhero movies), it is an enjoyable 2 hours ride with great actions, and of course, we waited for SO LONG....
(read more for spoilers...)
But I have to complain about the ending. As one of the newsgroup-mates pointed out, the best time where the movie ends, should be Superman's death. The movie should stop there, and give hints to the next episode. But no, he woke up mysteriously, wander into Lois' house and see his son. Yes, this is a happy ending, but this is not a perfect ending in my point of view.
